The prompt goes to the customer’s phone with the sale’s amount and receipt number on it. When they pay, the confirmation comes back to that same sale.

Card is recorded on approval
Take the card on the terminal and the approval is saved against the sale, with the last four digits and the time.

Cash is counted when the shift ends
Each cashier counts their drawer at close. Soko already knows what should be in it, and shows the difference.

Can customers pay with M-Pesa?
Yes. Connect a paybill, till number or Pochi la Biashara and Soko sends the payment prompt to the customer’s phone. When the confirmation arrives it is matched to the sale on its own, so nobody has to type a code.
Can I run more than one store?
Yes. One login covers up to two stores, each with its own tills, stock and reports. Move stock between them and see both shops side by side.
Do receipts go to KRA eTIMS?
Yes. Every receipt is signed through KRA eTIMS and printed with its QR code and control code. If the internet drops, sales are queued and signed as soon as it comes back.
Can customers buy on credit?
Yes. Attach a customer, set a limit, and Soko keeps track of what they owe. Payments against the balance are matched like any other.
How much does it cost?
The first 14 days are free and need no card. After that the price depends on how many stores and devices you run; the plans are shown when you sign up.
